Your intention
belongs to you.
Kithlane is built around a small choice. You decide why you want to connect, and each person decides whether to accept an introduction.
Privacy policy · Updated 28 October 2026
What we collect
When you sign in with Google or email and password, Kithlane uses your shared Goalmatic Firebase identity to authenticate you. Your email address is used for account identity and is not automatically shared with other members.
Your Kithlane profile contains the name you choose, city, bio, self-declared age and gender. We also store the intentions, interests and preferences you enter, your purpose-specific consent, proposal decisions, mutual introductions, messages, listings and safety reports. Kithlane is for adults 18 and over. Age and identity are not verified.
What another person can see
Before you both accept, an anonymous proposal shows the purpose you have both opted into, controlled shared-interest tags, whether you are in the same city, and any community anchor you both separately chose to share as an introduction reason. Professional proposals may also explain compatible looking-for-help or offering-help choices. It does not reveal your name, age, bio, city name or personal intention text.
After you both accept, the introduction reveals the name, age, bio, city and intention each person chose to share for that purpose. Your email is never automatically shared. Your private profile stays private unless you separately review and publish a public discovery card. A public card is limited to the public name, headline, bio, city, controlled tags and professional or friendship purposes you approve. It never publishes dating or casual dating intentions, age, gender, email, messages or private preferences.
Professional, Friends, Dating, Casual dating, Events and Communities are separate purposes. You must explicitly opt into each one. A decision in one purpose does not authorize an introduction or message in another.
Public discovery and live places
You can search the discovery board without signing in or using AI. Search includes separately opted-in public people cards, organizer-submitted communities and events, curated resources and, when requested, live Google Places results.
For a places search, your search query and location are sent to Google to retrieve relevant places. Google results remain in their own attributed section. Kithlane does not copy Google place details into your connection graph or store them as a permanent directory. Search results show their source and retrieval information when supplied. Availability can change and a missing result is not proof that a place does not exist.
Google content is subject to Google Terms of Service, Google Maps terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
Publishing a public card allows anyone, including people without an account, to view or save its approved fields. You can unpublish your card at any time. A request made through a public card records only the requester's yes. A private introduction still requires a compatible current intention and mutual acceptance.
Your own Path Graph
Your Path Graph records your intentions, controlled topics, locations, mutual introductions and community anchors you explicitly choose to share. Each recorded connection carries its source. It is not built from contact uploads, scraped friend lists or another service's private social network.
When you opt to share a community anchor, it may be used to explain a relevant connection. Your own connection feedback records what worked for you and may inform later suggestions for that purpose. It is not a public rating of another person. The graph view shows your own records and their sources.
Your words and optional AI
You can write and edit every intention manually. If you choose to ask the intention assistant for help, your own message and relevant conversation history are sent to Google Vertex AI to produce a suggested reply and draft. Other members' private profiles and messages are not included in that intake conversation.
AI suggestions may be incomplete or inaccurate. Review the full intention and preferences before providing consent and saving. Avoid sending sensitive personal information to the assistant.
The assistant is an AI. It speaks as Kithlane in a warm, concise voice and says so openly. That voice is tone only. It does not grant the assistant any action, and it has no memory beyond the conversation, working draft and saved intention supplied to it for that purpose.
Each chat is tied to one purpose. Only the latest 12 messages of that purpose are stored and sent for a reply. Your working draft is stored when you choose Save working draft or when you send an assistant message, because sending saves the current draft first. A summary stays pending until you adopt it. Nothing is saved as an intention, and no private introduction is allowed, until you give your explicit final consent for that purpose. You can reload the conversation, or clear it, which erases the chat, working draft and suggestion and leaves any approved intention in place. Deleting your account removes the conversation.
Optional Telegram and WhatsApp linking
You may link a Telegram or WhatsApp account and choose the one purpose it is used for. When a channel is configured, account linking verifies control using a code and web confirmation. Configuration alone does not establish delivery. If a channel is not configured, linking is not offered. Linking uses a short-lived code and requires you to confirm the account that answers. Linking is not consent to a private introduction. It does not save an intention, accept a proposal or share your contact details.
When you chat there, the provider (Telegram or Meta for WhatsApp) receives your sender and account identifiers, your messages and Kithlane's replies, and retains them under its own policies. Kithlane stores the connection record, with a display label, the purpose and the time, and a hashed replay receipt. A replay receipt holds no message body and no member id, is not queryable by you, and is scheduled for expiry after 30 days; automated removal may be delayed. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes the binding, and deleting your account removes your link records. Copies the provider already received are not recalled.
Where product data lives
Kithlane product data is stored in a separate Kithlane Google Cloud project in the United States. Sign-in uses the shared Goalmatic Firebase identity project. Kithlane product data is separate from Goalmatic Core workspaces, apps and private-message integrations.
Google and its infrastructure services process the information needed for authentication, storage and optional AI intake. Authorized administrators and moderators can access restricted information when needed to operate the service or review a safety concern.
Listings and external websites
Event and community listings you submit may be visible on the public discovery board, including without an account. Only submit a listing when you organize it or have the organizer's permission. Do not put private personal information in a listing.
Organizer links open external websites with their own privacy practices. Check the destination and organizer before sharing information or paying for anything.
Pause, leave, block or report
You can pause new introductions while keeping existing mutual conversations open. Editing or removing an intention expires pending proposals for it. It does not close a conversation that was already mutual.
Leaving an introduction closes the conversation. Blocking closes the connection and prevents new proposals between you. These choices stop future access or contact through Kithlane, but cannot undo information a person already viewed or saved.
Use Report on a proposal, introduction or listing to raise a concern, including suspected underage participation. Authorized moderators can review report context, which may include messages from a reported introduction. Reports are not an emergency service.
Download or delete your data
Account & privacy lets you download your Kithlane data and delete your Kithlane account. Deletion immediately disables the profile, removes profile details, public cards, graph records, intentions, listings and sessions, purges content in your shared introduction threads and closes those introductions. It also removes your chat-channel links, pairing codes and connection records. Your shared Goalmatic Firebase identity remains.
Your download includes your chat-channel connection metadata (platform, purpose, connection time and display label) and any unexpired pairing codes' platform and times. It never includes raw sender identifiers, code hashes or service secrets. If you are an authorized administrator, it also includes your own agent-operation records as described below.
Minimal block records and closed connection identifiers remain to enforce safety. Infrastructure recovery copies can persist for up to one hour, and provider operational logs may persist under their service policies. Restricted report evidence is retained for 90 days and then expires. Channel replay receipts are scheduled for expiry after 30 days; automated removal may be delayed. Other people may retain information they saved outside Kithlane before deletion.
Promotions and campaign drafts
Promotions appear in a separate lane labeled Sponsored or From Goalmatic. They do not change organic discovery ranking. Promotion configuration uses coarse cities and discovery categories, never private intentions, dating preferences or sensitive member information.
Authorized administrators can prepare and export campaign drafts for human review. These tools do not automatically send outreach, publish social posts or buy advertising. Private member information is not a campaign audience source. Existing campaign drafts remain drafts in this separate tool.
Administrator-run organic operations
Separately from campaign drafts, authorized administrators can use a controlled operations tool. Where dedicated Kithlane AI accounts are configured and authorized, it can prepare, review and bounded-send organic posts and comments and sourced outreach to public businesses. It does not use private member intentions or romance preferences to choose targets, and it does not buy advertising or change budgets.
Business prospects are distinct from members who consented to Kithlane. A business email or public engagement is not automatic permission to contact it, and each provider or channel must be authorized. Opt-outs and suppressions are honored. A missing capability stays blocked. If an outcome is unknown, Kithlane does not blindly resend. A configured connection does not mean a message was delivered.
If an administrator deletes their account, the content they authored and direct attribution are removed from these records. Minimal operation identifiers, provider receipts, counts, unknown-outcome records and hashed suppression entries remain so a message is not sent twice and a recipient is not recontacted. Audit records are scheduled for expiry after 180 days; automated removal may be delayed. Kithlane cannot recall a message that was already sent, cannot cancel an external send that already completed, and does not guarantee deletion of copies held by a provider.
Your choices during beta
The beta has no fee, paid subscription or voice feature. You can use the manual intention form without asking AI for help. You can review and change your profile and current intentions in your private space.
For safety concerns, use the in-app report control. To manage or remove your information, open Account & privacy.
